Through this grant program, the Foundation proactively identifies critical initiatives and innovative projects related to the Foundation’s focus areas.  By providing substantial financial support over a sustained period of time, this grantmaking strategy is designed to advance knowledge, test a new theory or solution, and draw attention to a hidden problem.
