Proposal Documents

If you are eligible to apply, you may submit a proposal. Formal proposals should contain:

  • A completed Claneil Foundation Application Summary. (See #2 above.)
  • If the organization implementing the program is submitting a proposal under a fiscal agent, a cover letter from the fiscal agent must be included with the proposal; and all of the documentation that is requested herein must be submitted for the fiscal agent.
  • A description of the organization and its mission.
  • A description of the project for which funds are requested, including the problem to be addressed; the need driving the request; the objectives of the project; the timetable for project implementation; and the personnel involved in the project and their qualifications.
  • A budget for the project, as well as one for the organization, that includes both income sources and expenses.
  • Evaluation results that demonstrate the project's success.  If the project is too early in its lifecycle for demonstrated results, please describe the methods of evaluating the attainment of the project's objectives.
  • A photocopy of the latest IRS determination of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3), including the determination that the organization is "not a private foundation" under Section 509(a)(1), (2), or (3).
  • A copy of the most recently completed audit or IRS form 990.
  • A list of current board members and their affiliations.
  • Any pertinent documentation that might be used to support your request, such as planning documents, contracts, letters of support, news coverage, etc.
