Immigrant and refugee service agency Nationalities Service Center (NSC) was featured in a recent Generocity article highlighting the impact of federal funding cuts on its work.

In the wake of such funding cuts, as well as reduction and elimination of programs offering temporary protected status to thousands of immigrants, NSC has issued urgent appeals to the public and philanthropic organizations. Executive Director Margaret O’Sullivan is quoted in the article speaking about the responsiveness of local foundations:

“We’ve had foundations that have stepped up and provided us with emergency operating grants for the first time. They are asking for meetings so they can really understand the issues that we’re facing. They’re responding to our need.”

Claneil supported NSC’s work in 2017 with a Designated Grant.
